Arizona Adventures, On Hiatus, and Un-Hiatus
Ed!: For the five or six folks following along, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus. Life’s been busy, and I haven’t really had the time to prep daily festivities. I’m hoping to get back to the daily grind this week, so there should be new Edventures to share in the near future.
That said, I did try a few new things over the past week or so, which will show up here in the soon. In the meantime, here are a few of the many culinary lessons I learned whilst getting all roasty-toasty in Arizona.
- For all that Arizona flaunts its “authentic Southwestern cuisine,” none of those fancypants taqueria joints could/would make me a Cheesy Gordita Crunch. The chimichanga with which I had to make due was, however, out of this world.
- People don’t really eat armadillos very often.
- Say what you will about New Haven pizza, New York pizza, New Jersey pizza, or even Chicago pizza - Arizona is still keeping it real.
- Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
