Anonymous asked: Ed! It seems you haven't eaten something in a long time. I hope you haven't starved to death :(

Back in the Saddle (Again)
Ed!: Tomorrow, friends, we get back to business.
internetwinsagain asked: In the same vein of the Everybody Says Good Good Eat, there's a brand of snack ramen intended to be eaten dry known as 王子麵 (Prince Noodles). I've seen it at oriental markets about an hour away, so hopefully you'll be able to have an easier time finding it. I recommend that brand specifically due to the fact that it has such exotic flavors as- curry, seaweed, and bacon. Bacon...

Son of a gun, we'll have big fun on the bayou...
Ed!:This was posted over at my non-eating blog, but I figured it was worth sharing. In other news, formatting things for Tumblr is a nightmare.
Once upon a time, I tried to make jambalaya.
Before this time, I had never taken a stab at Creole cooking. Beyond the base Holy Trinity and the inclusion of Andouille, I really had no idea what I was doing. This probably heralds about how well I was...

Arizona Adventures, On Hiatus, and Un-Hiatus
Ed!: For the five or six folks following along, you’ve probably noticed that I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus. Life’s been busy, and I haven’t really had the time to prep daily festivities. I’m hoping to get back to the daily grind this week, so there should be new Edventures to share in the near future. That said, I did try a few new things over the past week or so, which will show up here...

UPDATE!
Ed!: Things will be a bit lean here for a few, since I’ll be off spooning with cacti in Arizona until Tuesday. That said, I did promise my friends that I would eat whatever was presented to me (within reason) while we were there. I imagine there will be some adventures to share upon my return, including one involving Bud Light with Clamato. Freedom Stewart will be so proud of me. Also,...

Day 96.5 (9/4/11): The Chalkiest Flavor
Ed!: Baskin Robbins serves thirty-one flavors of ice cream, and I was reasonably certain that “America’s Birthday Cake” would make the ugliest milkshake. It didn’t seem to bring any boys to the yard, but the straw definitely got clogged a few times by hunks of blue frosting.
As a culinary precursor to the greyest of milkshakes, we hit up the Burger Guru proper. Other Ed...

Day 92 (8/31/11): I Can't Dance; I Can't Walk
Ed!: No video for Wednesday, because my foot pulled a stupid and coerced me into a day of hopping.
I did feast upon a “Cuban” torta from La Norteña, though. It was sort of like someone smothered breakfast in jalapeños and that delicious white cheese that is awesome, and then jammed the result into a sammich. Anyone that has spent more than a few minutes with me knows how much I love...

Day 88: Rain, Rain, Go Away
Ed!: No new food on Saturday, because I was bunkered down in Queens to weather the weather. For three days, the only things that went into my body were coffee and take-out Chinese food. It’s a wonder I’m not dead yet.
All the best to those who have post-Irene pieces to pick up. My hometown was hit pretty hard, but it’s good to know that everyone back home is safe.

Other Ed: What?
Ed!: Exactly. There’s a happy Mexican man on the bag.
Other Ed: That sounds about right

Days 74 & 75 (8/13-8/14): More Connecticutian...
Ed!: As is becoming standard, I stuck to the familiar on Saturday and didn’t film on Sunday. I’ve been getting out of the city much more frequently as of late, and this is an unfortunate side-effect. Sorry, chaps.
I managed to try a tasty new dish at Sunday’s wedding brunch, though: Quiche Lorraine. Sure, I’ve had plenty of quiche in my day, but I had never tried a meaty...
